Our Mission

Mommy’s Heart, Inc. (EIN 87-4833078) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to protecting children and safeguarding the constitutional rights of fit parents. We support parents and children affected by domestic violence who face legal retaliation and complex legal, social, and economic barriers after seeking safety and protection. Through advocacy, education, workforce development, and community-based services, we promote due process, equal access to justice, and accountability in family courts while advancing child-centered reforms that help survivors achieve safety, independence, healing, and lasting justice.

Why Mommy’s Heart Is Needed

Escaping abuse does not always end the abuse.

After seeking safety and protection, many victims and survivors continue to face coercive control through legal retaliation, financial deprivation, custody litigation, false allegations, and forced separation from their children.

Without affordable legal assistance, trauma-informed support, or financial resources, survivors may be placed at a significant disadvantage when attempting to protect themselves and their children.

Mommy’s Heart helps bridge this gap by providing coordinated legal, social, emotional, and economic support.

Our bill deters abusers, protects survivors, and prevents retaliatory misuse of the legal system by requiring courts to prioritize child safety. Starting at the state level, Mommy's Heart advances national and global solutions to what ranks as one of history’s greatest human rights violations of this era.
